Todd and Jeff met through the 48HRS of Tri-State Subaru event in 2008. Their mutual interests in Subaru Foresters, motorcycles, and traveling, led Todd to invite Jeff to a month-long motorcycle tour of the United States. Together they worked out a time-frame, and began planning their trip. This website was designed as a means to chronicle their ongoing motorcycle adventures.
Jeff, currently a police sergeant for the United States Mint in Philadelphia, was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1970. He bought his first motorcycle, a used 1978 Honda CB400T Hawk at the age of 18, on which he learned the joy of exploring new roads before enlisting in the Air Force. He continued his riding addiction while stationed in Louisiana with a 1989 Suzuki GS500E, before returning to Philly in 1995. A progression of increasingly larger-displacement motorcycles over the years led up to his 2001 Suzuki Bandit1200S, which he wrecked in an accident involving an 18-wheeler on the highway in 2006. Two years later, he returned to motorcycling by rebuilding his Bandit with the remains of another wrecked Bandit, and his joy of sport-touring was renewed. Currently riding a 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere, Jeff is always eager to hit the road and see as much of North America as possible.
Todd currently works in Washington, DC as an IT Security Specialist. He started riding dirt bikes in the late 90’s and purchased a 1994 Yamaha Seca II as a first street bike in 2002. Mostly used for commuting, the Seca II was the beginning of an obsession. Throughout the years many bikes have come and gone, from a 360cc Honda CL360 Scrambler to the 1000cc Yamaha FZ1. Todd has always been interested in traversing this great country in search of all that it has to experience. Todd currently rides a BMW R1200RT, and commutes on a Honda CBR250R.
